A Legal Perspective
Current research into the legal aspects of the environmental protection of the Guarani Aquifer is being done at the University of Surret. ERRG has been awarded a two year EPSRC Knowledge Transfership Fellowship from the Surrey
Water Research Group. The project will assess the current negotiations on the legal regulation of
one of the world’s largest groundwater reservoirs. At the same time it will strengthen a network of
international researchers who will develop the University of Surrey Centre of Excellence on Aquifers.
